Knit A Round

Knit A Round was founded in May, 2000 by owners Sheri Preketes and Carrie Pozza, knitters and yarn lovers for many years. Following the need for good yarn in the area, they decided to open their own shop and cater to the region’s knitters.

Knit A Round is a comfortable, relaxing place where you are welcome to drop in and bring a project to work on. Have a burning question that needs to be answered? Just ask any of our knowledgable sales staff for help. We exist to assist both the beginning and experienced knitter, because we know what it is like at both levels!

Private lessons and group workshops are available to suit all your knitting needs, from making socks to picking up dropped stitches. Special parties for both adults and young people are always fun—especially when the shop stays open just for you and your friends after hours.

Store Policies

Unused, full priced yarn may be returned for store credit or credit card credit within 60 days of purchase. Yarn that has been wound is considered used. Unfortunately, it may be necessary to occasionally weigh returned yarn if it seems lighter than usual.
Store credit less 20%- 50 % will be given for yarn returned without a receipt. Amount of discount will depend on the yarns most current selling price.
Please note that hand dyed yarns are not defective if there are wide variations within a dye lot. To avoid “pooling” of color please alternate between 2 skeins. Also be aware that no 2 skeins will knit exactly alike.
Self striping yarns may not match up perfectly and may even have different color sequences between 2 skeins of a same color and dye lot. A certain number of knots in a ball of yarn is also normal.
Patterns, books, magazines, special orders, and sale merchandise are not returnable.
Needles may be exchanged for needles only, if in the original package, with receipt, and within one week of purchase.
A 50% non-refundable deposit may be required on some special orders.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for class and workshop registration. The balance is due at the first class meeting.
Class materials must be purchased at the shop.
Due to class size limits, we will not be able to allow substitutions of class sessions or students. There are no makeup sessions.
